The Department of Environmental Engineering was launched in 2004 and aims to establish a new interdisciplinary education fusing energy, environment and engineering. There are nine full-time faculty members and two staff dedicated to the education of more than 200 undergraduate students and 70 graduate students (MS and PhD program).

We offer various lectures and training courses in both academic knowledge and practical applications to ensure students acquiring comprehensive knowledge in environmental engineering. Approximately sixty percent of our undergraduates pursue graduate education in national universities.

For international students, research supervision is given in English, and there are more than 15 courses provided in English, in the fields of environmental engineering, environmental management, energy engineering, and water resource engineering. More than 20 international students have completed graduate program since 2012.

Positions for environmental engineers are growing due to the trends of environment protection worldwide. The overall employment rate for our graduates is 95% in six months after graduation.
